I watched Tiger Bay recently and was interested in the countryside scenes, where either a lake or reservoir is visible in the distance and there is the old ruins of a farm house - later which Gillie is running round.

On the commentary Hayley Mills says that it was filmed at Talybont on Usk.

I was just wondering if anone knows (maybe locals to that area) are those ruins still there now? And if so where to find them.

    Thanks for any info.

    Mark.

There is a fairly large reservoir to the south of Talybont-on-Usk, I used to go there when I was a child. There are also some fort ruins to the south of Talybont.

I looked up the movie locations on IMDB and it says Talybont Cardigan which is about 80 miles away from Talybont-on-Usk

Yes i noticed it says Talybont Cardigan on IMDB - but i think this is incorrect.

On the dvd commentary Hayley Mills says they filmed at Talybont-on-Usk, and also this would make sense as it is close to Cardiff where they were based.

I'll have to go back to the area and have a look around
