    Thanks for the information.
They used Roche Rock as a location.

Not a horror as a genre, but the rural novels of Daphne du Maurier have become synonymous with the spooky hollows of Cornwall. In the first chapter of "Jamaica Inn" the heroine cautiously listens to the grating sound of the inn sign on a stormy night and compares the shape to a hanging man breathing his last. A brief scene from Hitchcock's 1930's translation-avaliable on YouTube-puts it into cinematic expression.

'The Omen' wasn't filmed in Cornwall, it was 'Omen 3: The Final Conflict' which had some location filming in the county.

The little seen (and rightly so!) DISCIPLE OF DEATH (1972) was also set & filmed in Cornwall...

The unbelievably awful THE VULTURE (1967) was set in Cornwall, but filmed at Pinewood.

The biggest horror I had in Cornwall once after eating a dodgy one was "Return of the Pastie"

There's an awful lot of non-natives residing in Cornwall nowadays but I found the real Cornish people to be pleasant and helpful in general-the staff at Jamaica Inn need some social skill training though!

Plenty of Cornish people in Cornwall, of course there are. As a cornishman myself (who doesn't live in Cornwall any more) it's rather sad that there are places in the county which are completely used as holiday lets/second homes. The village of Helford, for example, close to where I grew up. We were there a couple of months ago visiting family nearby and every house on the harbour front is now a holiday home, let out by the chap who runs the local shop.

But these instances, headline grabbing as they are, are relatively rare.

I'm sure that most Cornish folk are friendly and hospitable. There are a always a few exceptions though...

Should I ever visit England I'd love to visit Cornwall in addition to London of course - it has an obvious mystical quality - isn't Cornwall also the setting in the original "Jack the Giant Killer" legend?
