I know most of the filming was done in and around Borehamwood. Can't be more specific sadly.
Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World anyone have any specfic locations -esp house where boy lives?

The Cafe where Jim Dale has to struggle with a knife and fork chained to the table was called 'The good companions', it's in the Hertfordshire village of South Mimms (near Potters Bar) facing St. Albans road, just after the junction with Blackhorse lane heading north, the building is still there, though now in private use, scenes from the film version of the likely lads were also filmed in the cafe.
The railway line where the huge dog is seen on is the St. Pancras to Bedford, etc; line, before it was electrified.

I like the bit with giant monkey at the end
Hi,
My sadness with this film, is that our local cinema put it on some years ago. At that weekend television broadcast it, so the two clashed.

So far two minutes into the film and two locations spotted:
Grandfarther's house (where boy lives) is on Bucketsland lane, next to Bucketsland farm - the hedge between the garden and the road is overgrown now.
The NATO research establishment is good old High Canons.
15 minutes in - Jim Dale's house, is on the road called High Canons off Well End Road
45 minutes in - The Aunt's cottage is The Thatched Cottage, London Road, Well End
