    Anyone know which town is shown at the beginning of the film, from which the young Kipps is taken away to work for Mr Shalford? Looks to me like somewhere in the Cotswolds? Town by river with bridge.

    No screen grab as I didn't record it, but maybe someone saw it last night and recognised it?

    A search of "medieval bridge" in Geograph came back with 596 results. The fifth one down.....

    Wow - I'm impressed! Many thanks indeed Alan. Aylesford isn't too far from me so might be able to go and have a look at it before too long.
