Forgive me if this has been asked before.

I have just watched one of my favourite Brit comedies "The House In Nightmare Park" with Frankie Howerd and Ray Milland, and of course dear Hugh Burdon. Where is that spooky old house?

Incidentally could someone perhaps pm me if they have a DVD of this, as I only have a scratchy old tape of it. Thanks.

I've often wondered where the house is too.

It looks so untouched and authentic to period, that I thought perhaps it might have been marked for demolition - as so many Victorian mansions were knocked down in the sixties and seventies.

I'm pretty sure I spotted the same statue of Kali crop up in the Joan Hickson Miss Marple, '4.50 From Paddington'.

I belive the house is Oakley court [now a posh hotel] in Windsor, Berkshire. Also used in many of the Hammer films, also St.Trinians, Dracula [Palance], Rocky horror picture show, Vampyres etc.

Yep, it was Oakley Court which was right next to Bray Film Sudios and I think it was originally on land owned by the studio. It was derelict and uninhabited for years and has been used in countless horror movies as well as being the exterior in the St Trinians films. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was filmed there. You can drop in for tea and scones these days, its a very posh hotel now but worth a visit as the exterior has not changed. Its very close to Egham and just off the M25.

Is that a pub, or the regiment?

A very late response Mr Crook.
But, I've been thinking about it.
    No, not the pub.
    The Brigade.
    Regiment? Coldstream.
