Number 1 is Bexhill as well.

I thought it might be, but couldn't find any pictures of that side of it.
Well done
It is a classic Art Deco building - and it's just been restored and re-opened

Admittedly it's a very long time since I was last in Ventnor and I was very young at the time (1974), then another modernist building would be the Winter Gardens. I can't seem to find a decent picture of it, but it does look to be in the same vein as Bexhill.

Perhaps the railway station was Ventnor?
Ventnor station was in the lee of a very steep hill, Rew Down. Although I've just found out from this website that there were two stations in the town, Town and West. We lived near the West line in Whitwell and I always wanted to go through the old tunnel that would take you through to St Lawrence on the Undercliff.

The station shots have a really smoky noirish feel and there's little to see apart from the platform. The other unknown is the long shot of White Cottage - the close-ups were probably shot in the studio.

Did you notice that the beach is really packed except in the scene where Derek Farr and Joan Hopkins look down on it from the cliff - when it's completely empty!
