I will check this out next week, as I am in Chiswick. Can anyone do a grab of the house and or garage?? cheers![]()
Hi, yes house and garage still there, photo's to follow. Morton House is still untouched and if you turn right from the house for about 70 yards you go down the alleyway to the garages. The garages look updated but still look similar, also the back door gate that Sylvia Syms walks into after seing the grafitti is still there. The only bit of trick photography is when you see Sylvia across from Morton House and she has Hammersmith Bridge in the background, this shot was taken further up the river in Hammersmith. As I say photos to follow and perhaps some kind soul can put up some grabs for comparison purposes.happy easter allDirk Bogarde's (Melville Farr), riverside home is Morton House, Chiswick Mall, next door to Strawberry House, Chiswick, West LondonI think the garage is at the back like a mews arrangement but haven't watched the film in a while but Im assuming the house and the garage are at the same location.

On a cold and snowy Easter Monday afternoon I enjoyed trying to match up Stevie's pics. Only allowed five pics in each post, so I've split them.
The best I could find of Chiswick
The alleyway
The garage

Victim again: go and have a pint in the Salisbury Tavern in St Martin's Lane where all the pub action took place.
Gazza if you turn right out of Farr's house you come to a church that featured in the film. Are you local or Nobby ?? could someone take a photo of the back of the church. It is exactly the same now as in the film![]()
Very interesting to see those comparison shots! a lot of time and effort there, well done guys!![]()
In the film Victim (1961) Peter McEnery returns to his fictitious home town of Kelworth. While there he walks along a street and passes a Halifax Building Society which is next to a cinema. He then spots his friend, with girl friend, leaving the cinema and chases after them. Here the film cuts so the following location could be miles away from the first scene. The three then clearly stand, and speak, in the doorway of what looks like a large furniture shop called 'Randalls.' The whole scene has a rather outer west London feel to it to me. Can anyone identify either of these scenes?
Thank you,
