Another vote here for On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Thrilling, Majestic and unimprovable, it never dates.

OHMSS- fantastic soundtrack and one of the best of the Bond films.
Some people will just laugh off the very suggestion that they should watch it, but they are quite happy to sit down to watch shite like The Man With The Golden Gun. I always thought the late Peter Hunt was the ultimate victim of OHMSS. Such a gifted editor and director who was more or less shunned by the industry after this film.

He made a decent fist of Gold and Shout at the Devil but after that it was downhill all the way.

Picnic At Hanging Rock (Zamfir)
Walkabout (Barry)*
Dances with Wolves (Barry)*
The Wicker Man (Giovanni)
Once Upon A Time In The West (Morricone)

* You could substitute those two John Barry scores with either Somewhere In Time or Out of Africa; the man doesn't just write music, he is music.

Nothing to be ashamed of, it's a good score. It's a shame the film wasn't as good.

John Barry's "The Whisperers" nice choice Straff. Just picked up the soundtrack on vinyl - sounds great, but too soon for me to make "top 5".

I got my vinyl copy from 58 Dean Street, 20 years ago. Boy I miss that shop!
