Default Mike Smith Dies

Thursday 29th February 2008. Mike Smith of The Dave Clark Five, died of Pneumonia. Just as the Band were to be put into the Hall Of Fame too, so sad. He was 64.

Always sad to hear abou the passing of members of 60's pop groups. A member of The Swinging Blue Jeans died sometime ago.

Am I correct in saying that a member of Hermans Hermits died a few years ago.

Freddie Marsden the drummer in Gerry and the Pacemakers and brother of Gerry Marsden died in 20006. When Gerry replaced Joe Brown in the West End musical Charlie Girl the group split up and he became a £14 a week telephone operator. Later he set up his own driving school, The Pacemaker Driving School. He died at the young age of 66.
