Rosza's score for Ivanhoe is lovely, and makes stirring use of one of the loveliest 12C melodies, Guiraut de Bornelh's alba, Reis glorios, verais lums e clartatz, which he uses as the leitmotif for the knights.

Further re: use of existing early music, I also love the opening title music of Becket, which uses the so-called Golden Sequence, Veni Sancte Spiritus, often attributed to Stephen Langton, a slightly later Archbishop of Canterbury. Lovely music, shame about the film…

Default Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez / Rossini's William Tell Overture

I loved the poignant rendition of Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez and the brilliant performance of Rossini's William Tell Overture performed by the Grimethorpe Colliery Band from Brassed Off:

Mrs Emma Peel

I like the score to Witchfinder General.
The 'chase' music from WG was used in the tv series 'Great Crimes & Trials of The 20th Century' narrated by Robert Powell

Any of the theme music (and incidental music) by Ennio Morricone to the "Spaghetti Westerns" with Clint Eastwood et al.

And any of the James Bond themes from the 1960s

Hard Days Night - The Beatles.

Still sounds as fresh today as it did when first released in 1964.

Every track a winner.

Indeed

But if I were to name two non-Morricone or Bond scores, I'd say.....

Roy Budd's Kidnapped
Alfred Newman's How The West was Won
