Default I walked with a zombie...yes

Hello Batman

Don't you think "The Shame and Scandal in the Family" song, by Sir Lancelot is really adapted to the story of Tourneur's film ?...
Maybe we can consider the "zombie woman" is frozen, doesn't know which brother to go with ?

Well, I Walked With A Zombie is a reworking of Jane Eyre, so if Sir Lancelot studied English Literature, anything is possible....

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

It's my understanding that they used an old calypso tune and wrote new lyrics to advance the storyline. There's an excellent cd, a compilation of Val Lewton horror movie scores, composed by Roy Webb, on the Marco Polo/Naxos label. "I Walked With A Zombie" is one of the movies featured but the tune, unfortunately, was not included. John Morgan, a friend of mine who worked on the restoration of the scores told me that the reason for this was because the disc was recorded in Bratislava and calypso singers were very hard to find!

That's how I have always viewed it.
