Default When Eight Bells Toll

This cracking action film has a superb theme by Walter Stott, who also arranged much of Scott Walker's stunning solo work in the 60s. It even out-Bonds most Bond themes!

.........also known as Wally Stott, who composed incidental music for THE GOONS and HANCOCK's HALF HOUR, as well as a substantial recording career (some is available on CD)

(S)he also did the percussive jazz number that Moira Shearer dances to in Peeping Tom and was the arranger and musical director on Michael Powell's Luna de miel (1959) [aka Honeymoon]. She was still a he at the time but I wouldn't have thought a little thing like that would have put Powell off. He was used to working with unusual people
