You'd like the score Sgt. The title song is by Jackie Lee, and it also features the Peddlers ("Tell The World We're Not In"), Peter Lee Stirling, and some great funky Chris Gunning instrumentals.
Goodbye Gemini is an odd curious film starring Judy Geeson, Martin Potter, Alexis Kanner, Freddie Jones and Michael Redgrave. The film was released in 1970 and the film's tag line ran something like "In The Age of Aquarius the Twins share everything, love, men and murder! I bought the 7" title song release by the Peddlers and with it came a miniturised film trade advert. I also bought the LP soundtrack years ago and there are some good tracks with groovy intrumentals.

It's been scheduled for DVD release for ages now but still hasn't appeared. I've got the U.S video (Twin Sanity) and it's one strange & downbeat film. Great cast though, including Mike Pratt as a creepy hood and Peter Jeffrey (who seems to be rehearsing for his role in The Abominable Dr Phibes).

The legendary Ricky Renee appears in a small role too.

Talking about The Peddlers.... in London during the 1960s I was taken to The Pickwick Club to see The Peddlers. They were the talk of the London music scene at the time and you were lucky if you could get into the club. My circle of friends at the time were musicians and we all sat at a large table - I was stunned when Ike and Tina Turner joined our table!

Nearly 30 years later, my husband and I were on holidays in New Zealand up north in the Bay of Islands, visiting an out-of-the-way little place called Paihia. We went into an attractive little cafe for lunch, and to my surprise I saw the back wall of the room was decorated with photos and album covers of The Peddlers. Then I saw that the man who was rushing around waiting on tables was none other than Roy Phillips! When he came over to take our order, I told him, "I know you!" He was almost as amazed to be recognised as I was to see him there - in such a remote part of the world! It turned out he owned the cafe and had changed his lifestyle completely. We chatted about The Pickwick Club and he told me they had been locked into an exclusive contract there which was a huge disadvantage for a number of years (not sure exactly how long).

Have just done some "googling" and I now know that he left Paihia and returned to composing and perfor
ming. He now lives in Christchurch.

He composed
"The Dream" - the theme song for the 1996 New Zealand Olympic team, which I didn't know till just now.

If anyone's interested, here's his website:

Not exactly a "Film Theme"....but the music in the barn raising scene from "Witness" does it for me every time.

They must be American!

No, they weren't there to perform. They were there especially to see The Peddlers. They were dressed up to the nines - she looked very glamorous (I seem to recall lots of ostrich feathers) and as it was quite late they perhaps had been somewhere else beforehand.

Default Best Film Theme

The theme and incidental music in A Bridge Too Far is just wonderful and gets my vote!

By hook or by crook we will! Be seeing you!

Maurice Jarre's score to the WW2 thriller Night Of The Generals is one of the more creepier 60's soundtracks.

I have a mixture . . . John Barry is my favourite composer for films. His Bond material is superb such as O.H.M.S.S and of course the stunning soundtrack for 'Raise The Titanic'. (Titanic historian aside) I think this soundtrack is beautiful. Then there are the electronic soundtracks. Vangelis and 'Blade Runner' and, although not excatly written for the film, but used non the less, Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene Part 2 that was used in Mel Gibsons 'Galipoli'.

Barry's scores to The Last Valley and King Kong are amongst his least remembered but finest.

From the film - Ennio Morricone - he's got to be up there with the "best".

Vangelis has more than a few great scores to his name:

1492 The Conquest of Paradise
Blade Runner
Chariots of Fire
