I like a lot of the themes posted here.
I like John Barry's theme to Petulia very much & the whole LP of Midnight Cowboy.
Mulberry Bush. Pumpkin Eater. Darling. The Servant. Man & A Woman. The Touchables.
Looking For Mr Goodbar.The Go-Between.

This one is nice, though not well known:-

Hopefully this will complement

Fairy Tale - A True Story by Zbigniew-Preisner is lovely. The soundtrack CD is out there but it is over a hundred quid on Amazon for some reason.

The double CD of music from the TV/Movie production of Angels In America is also a favourite.

Anyone else think that John Barry is long overdue a knighthood ?
(apologies if this has already been discussed)

His contribution the entertainment industry is just beyond measure.

There was an on-line petition on the Number 10 website a couple of years ago but only a measley 229 bothered to click.

It did at least get an official response :-

"Thank you for your e-petition.

John Barry’s achievements in music are well known and respected. It is easy to see why so many people want to see his record formally recognised. This is underlined by the hundreds of people who have signed the e-petition on the No 10 website calling for him to be granted a knighthood. Your support has been carefully noted."

Ah Yes, the Soviet Union. All them wheatfields and ballet in the evenings

Amongst the many soundtracks I love Kafka, Steven Soderbergh's second feature film would be in my top ten.

To hear the film's title music click on link below:
