No, NO...not food for thought, something you must do!

Wonderful collection you have there, Joe. 'Accident' theme, on a single. Who would have known?

Maybe just start with a few...and go from there.

I'll be watching this space for info and links.

I got a 1960 single today through GEMM that I've been trying to track down for many years. Adventures in Paradise by Johnny Spence and his Orchestra on Parlophone 45-R. 4696. This was Lionel Newman's main theme from the 20th Century-Fox television film series starring Gardner MacKay, which was run on ITV television quite lot during the 1960's, but hasn't been shown here for over forty years. A pity I haven't got the means of scanning it an uploading the image here.

Nobody ends like they started out.

As far as i'm aware the only thing released from James Coburn's "Duffy' was one side of a Lou Rawls single - Capitol 2252 "Down Here On The Ground"/"I'm Satisfied (The Duffy Theme)". Not that I have a copy. It's a shame Ernie Freeman's score was never released, I wonder why ?

This is a wonderful single from 1962 that I once had but lost years ago and have now re-obtained from eBay...the theme from the ITC series Man of the World, starring Craig Stevens as globtrotting photographer and reporter Mike Strait. It's appropriate that I should get the single back in my collection now, having just got halfway through watching my DVD set of the complete series of Man of the World that I recently bought from Network. The image below is the eBay seller's image of the record label, not mine and, despite the little 50p tag stuck to the label, the record actually cost me £3.

Was the theme to 'Darling' (1965) ever released in any shape or form?
Also 'The Servant' (1963) & Pumpkin Eater (1964)?

I'm sure I remember seeing Darling on a Fontana single in the mid 1960's. I think it was performed by Dirk Bogarde himself.

Most of the above Dankworth items ("Darling", "The Servant" tracks) are now available on CD - "Let's Slip Away" (2 CD set: Eclipse 0-06007-5317621-4, issued late last year).
A fitting tribute to the recently deceased Mr Dankworth - the first CD is all film theme material, while the second contains TV and non-film work.

Firstly I am amazed, I thought I was the only one who throws nothing away. Secondly, it is possible to resize your phtos for reproduction here, I think I would appreciate and not skim through if they were a tad smaller on my screen.

I have never come across the theme title to the excellent 1964 film The Pumpkin Eater. I doubt whether it was released as a single.

I have come across this website which has re-issued some of Georges Delerue's screen music and features 3 music tracks from The Pumpkin Eater. The CD release is called MUSIC FROM THE FILMS OF JACK CLAYTON BY GEORGES DELERUE and is available from www.screenarchives.com

The theme tune to The Pumpkin Eater is very haunting

I've got that CD you mention. It's quite good but I think the songs are new versions of the originals.

Part of the incidental music used on Pumpkin Eater was also used in the Trufffaut film La Peau Douce. I dont think its the main theme though. It's been used on this clip:-
