On an unrelated forum i bumped into a poster who was knicknamed Flaxton boy, and he revealed that he, as child, lived in ripley castle during the filming of the series. |

Flaxton Boys was one of the epics of my childhood. The house eventually got burnt down when the Xmas tree caught fire and a bloke threw a glass of whisky at it... I remember it was Prokofiev theme music and my Dad had it on vinyl - we used to play it round the house and it was in my tape collection for years.

All I can remember of it was loving it and finding it very nostalgic even though I was only about 6 at the time. Didn't they move through from generation to generation - I also remember thinking that the idea for Rolf and Two Little Boys obviously came from this series being on at the time. Was a precocious brat or what?
