As far as I know none of Norman's film scores were ever commercially available. The original music track recordings, which would have been earlier in the '50's on optical sound and on magnetic film later, would have been destroyed long ago. However, music and effects tracks would still survive for foreign versions and would be stored away in the facility at Perivale run by Granada Ventures, who own the Rank Library, unless they have changed the company name again.
These music and effects tracks may not be seperate elements and also maybe 'mixed' tracks which may dip in level during dialogue.

Check out Movie Boulevard..they're a Leeds-based film music specialists and you can check out theie catalogue on their website:

movieboulevard.co.uk

I've bought tons of film music from them over the years and they're very knowledgeable (Richard and Robert). Persoanlly, I can't remember seeing any music from NW's films but it might be available.

Have you thought of importing the film into a video editing programme and then saving just the audio as a music track? You would then have to split the audio into music tracks. If you would like more info on how to do it then pm me.

Even popular musicians like Mike Vickers, who composed the soundtracks for Press for Time and The Sandwich Man, have not seen his two released as soundtracks. I'd buy The Sandwich Man soundtrack if it was available (I know Norman has only a single scene in this).

I actually wrote to Mike Vickers some years ago to see if he had any copies of "Press for Time" and "Sandwich Man" soundtracks. Sadly he did not. I agree with everyone here though- his work on both films is fantastic!

Default Mike Vickers

Mike Vickers is an excellent and versatile musician. Last time I saw him with The Manfreds, he moved from playing drums (he was the drummer in Manfred Mann in the 1960s) to keyboards effortlessly. And all those compositions. I think my fave is "Ski - the full of fitness food...."

Mike Vickers was always a guitarist in Manfred Mann (although he also played alto sax and flute but never drums). Mike Hugg was their drummer.

And they recorded the theme for Mannikin cigars, called it "A B side" and put it on the flip of one of their many hit singles in the 60's
