I'm trying to find the name of a song (and artist) that appeared in an episode of Doc Martin (Series One, Episode 2) titled 'Gentleman Prefers'.

The song is played by a live band at a wedding reception for Elaine's (receptionist) father.

Some of the words to the song sound as follows -

"I (something) in the middle of the night and I'm walking along the cliff."

"I went for a walk cause I knew the time is right and I'm walking along the cliff -

to the (sounds like "White house").....to the "white house"....walking along the cliff".

It's quite a catchy song so it probably has been released at some time.

There is no mention of a song or band on IMDb.

    Can anyone help with details.

    Cheers

    Dave.

    name='David Brent']Anyone?

    Dave.

Dave - why don't you try one of the production companies:

    ·Buffalo Pictures

    ·Homerun Productions (in assocation with)

Also, the series' original music was done by Colin Towns

    Just a thought!

I know this is an old thread, but did you have any luck? I just started watching the series and I cannot get it out of my head. Sadly, it's not on the soundtrack.

Hi alexc. Dave Brent left the forum a while back so we don't know if he ever had any luck with this.
But now that you have resurrected this thread, someone who knows the answer just might happen to read it - you never know!

If anyone wants to refresh his/her memory of the song the band plays at the wedding reception, you can watch the Doc Martin episode here:

Is it possible there might be a Giles Meredith connection to the wedding band ??(guitarist with sapphire)
