What a great soundrack, Alan Prices score is superb. Highlights for me include the songs, "Changes," which was used in a bread commercial some years ago and,"My Home Town,". Anyone who bought the follow up L.P "Between Today and Yesterday" will note that the songs have a a simaler feel to "O Lucky Man."

An underated performer I get the feeling that people have forgtotteh his marvelous hit,"Jarrow Song."

Alans work need reapraisal and we must forgive him for his somewhat embarassing appearance in Dylans "Dont Look Back."

I know he has his own website and still tours has anyone seen him in concert in recent years.

Mr Mack looked after him at De Montfort Hall a couple of years or so back. He's mostly touring with Bill Whyman's Rhythm Kings these days, I believe.

Apparently he's always cold - wanders around in scarf and overcoat until it's time to go on stage. Nice bloke though, by all accounts.

Yes I agree 'O Lucky Man' is a wonderful soundtrack and Alan Price is certainly under estimated. When I first saw the film I knew I just had to get the soundtrack, I really like 'Poor People' as well as 'changes'. Its one of those soundtracks I could listen to over and over without getting bored of it.

A shame that the soundrack is so short, but maybe less is more. Yes without doubt Alan is understimated, I love all his work from the seventies he did some good L.P. on Warner Bros and Polydor and towards the end of the seventies a few albums for the Jet label, I partiruclary like his,"England My England."

Would love to see him peform live again I have only seen him once on a sixties packge tour with the Manfreds and Chris Farlowe.

Wonderful soundtrack album which I never replaced on CD

My favourite track was "Look Over Your Shoulder".....in addition to those mentioned above.

Someone once told me that, if he wasn't away working, he often used to call in at his local pub and have a tinkle on the ivories; that would have been in the 80s.

I enjoyed the film too. A little part of Britain that's disappeared................
