SOUNDTRACK: The International Film and Music Festival is an exciting and distinctive new film festival celebrating the most creative, ingenuitive and exciting use of music in film. This the first year of an annual event with a packed programme of film screenings, master classes, workshops, and live music performances for a varied audience of musicians, film makers and fans in venues throughout Cardiff Bay from November 26th to the 29th 2008.
Supporters of the festival, Manic Street Preacher James Dean Bradfield, Hollywood actors Rhys Ifans and Ioan Gruffydd and Monty Python Star Terry Jones have gone on record in the press praising this ambitious new event, with the caliber of Special Guests appearing at the festival backing their praise up.

DAVID HOLMES: Award winning Superstar DJ and composer of Hollywood movie scores such as Oceans 11, 12 and 13, Out of Sight and this years most talked about Independent British movie, Hunger. David will participate in and ‘In Conversation’ following the screening of Hunger and will play an exclusive DJ set at The Point, Cardiff Bay.

DANNY BOYLE: Renound director of cult classics such as Trainspotting, Shallow Grave and 28 Days Later, Danny Boyle will be holding a masterclass at SOUNDTRACK as well as introducing the opening night movie, his own Slumdog Millionaire (An early tip for an Oscar in 2009).

GABRIEL YARED: World renound Oscar winning composer of film scores to Cold Mountain, The English Patient and Betty Blue, Yared will perform a special concert in tribute to Anthony Minghella alongside the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre as part of SOUNDTRACK, as well as holding a special Master Class on Film composition.

JONATHAN PRYCE: Renound Hollywood actor, Pryce has starred in the cult classic Brazil, alongside Madonna in Evita and, of late, in the Pirates of the Caribean trilogy. Jonathan will be taking part in a Question and Answer Session at SOUNDTRACK.
