Default Matyas Seiber

Does anyone know much about the Hungarian-born composer Matyas Seiber? I've just been watching the beginning of A Town Like Alice (possibly for the first time - I always seem to come in halfway through) and the theme is a marvellous Vaughan Williamsesque arrangement of the old folk tune Van Diemans Land....and Seiber is credited. The only other familiar title on IMDB for him is the Halas-Batchelor Animal Farm....can anyone shed some light on the man, who seems to have died prematurely....

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

He was highly regarded as a music teacher. Hans Keller also thought highly of him.

BTW, he was one of the first to use serial techniques in a film.
