Yeah, Bernard Herrmann, brilliant composer I would agree and one of my favourites too. His work for Hitchcock is great and lets not forget his music on "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and his collaboration with Scorsese on "Taxi Driver". In fact Scorsese liiked his music so much for the original "Cape Fear" that he used the same in his remake with De Niro.
And......Jerry Goldsmiths music for the original 1968 Planet of The Apes is one of my all time favourite film scores, just fantastic! |
