Spoiler:
Amthony Mann's Freudian Western drama is getting it's first TV showing in 19 years, it was last seen on BBC 2 Christmas 1993.
Walter Huston as a powerful cattle baron gave a memorable performance in his last screen role, he died shortly after the film was completed. Barbara Stanwyck as his headstrong daughter gets her best Western role ever, Judith Anderson is unforgettable as Huston's new love interest, and Gilbert Roland gives an Oscar worthy performance as Stanwyck's childhood friend. It also had a rousing score by Franz Waxman.
It is being shown on TCM Sunday 27th May at 3PM, TCM 2 at 8pm, nd is being repeated on Monday at 10.30am.
