I can't post another at the moment I'm afraid. There's something massive I have to grapple with in the bathroom.
As it happens, GRAEME, you are correct - but it is polite to wait until you have been TOLD that you are correct before spouting off.

For that, you are DISQUALIFIED - and I give it to Bats.

Excuse me! I knew I wasn't going to be around and so there was no point in delaying the game. That was being polite.

An alien concept to you obviously.

All men leak.

No - but I was brought up with good manners and common sense.

It was pompous to the extreme and very bad manners.

If you know you aren't 'going to be around' - don't play; it's quite simple.

I must say it seems perfectly reasonable to give an answer and then offer your turn (if correct) to someone else which is what Graeme did. It's a game - there's no need for finger-wagging and made-up rules. After all, people do set questions and forget about them or give answers when they're about to go out - nobody is online 24/7 (Bats left us hanging for a answer for ages yesterday but I didn't see anyone scolding him).

Now, whose turn is it?

I get where the Dame is coming from. A while back people were giving answers and then posting new ones before the answer had been verified. Some of the 'correct' answers turned out to be wrong so we ended up with more than one on the go. It became quite confusing. However, as Graeme didn't post another one, I can see his point of view too.

It's my go .... back in a bit.

How dare you lecture me!

I was giving people the chance to carry on with the game. If I had gone ahead and posted another then you could have had the right to complain.

I really do not know who you think you are!

If you accepted PMs I would talk to you about this off-thread but you don't. Apologies to the others - but I'm really rather annoyed at being talked to like this.

I believe it is because DS is a bit annoyed about something I wrote on another thread. Again, if she would like to PM me maybe we can sort things out.

All men leak.
