I had a whole set of vegetables on pencil ends - we swapped them and everything. My nephews won't believe me when I tell them how happy the 1970s were...

I can't say they made up for the rubbish pop music we had; Bay City Rollers, The Osmonds, David Bloody Cassidy.....it says something that one of the highlights was Gary Glitter.....

No, very much 20th century and I would guess largely forgotten now but was quite well known in its day. From a series of childrens books, and was on Jackanory
