actually on refelction it might not be cos it looks like he is driving a Reliant Scimiter and I don't think Templar would be driving one of those in the late '80s

Its actually a Jensen Interceptor, which was briefly put back into production around 1988/89. I can see how it would look like a Scimitar from that angle, though. Scimitar also had an 80s revival, but the new versions looked nothing like as stylish as the 60s/70s models.
