I do like Patriot Games - except for that plank impersonating an actor that they have as the main villain, Sean Bean. But he doesn't have to do a lot, just scowl and act mean

And it is interesting to see it post 9/11 and wonder if the Americans realised how many terrorist groups they were supporting before one finally struck back.

So did John Wayne, and it didn't do him much harm. I think SB is great as Sharpe....but I do wonder what Paul McGann, originally cast, would have done with it.

If McGann had been in it, I might have watched it; I just can't bear to watch anything with Bean in at all! Heaven only knows what women see in him.
