Siamese twins went on holiday to France so that the other one could have a go at driving.

If it's plucked then it's definitely stuffed in this cold weather

A man goes to the library & asks for a book on suicide. 'No chance' said the librarian 'you wont bring it back'.

I know, but it is in the realm of the worst type of manning humour ,and will always be a Taboo subject as far as I am concerned , even in a thousand years time .

Yes, I can see now that it might have been a Manning joke but many comedians used it during the 1960s (or pinched it from him).
The last thing I would wish to do is course offense - I did think it a joke only and posted it in that sense. I also recall the TV Ad only recently that showed the German soldier catching a bouncing bomb over the Dam that seemed to find much humour although it was also in very poor taste I thought at the time.

I would not assume (my posting) to be a statement against Germans or Germany but rather a stereotype of arrogance that can be found in all races. I think all humans are equal

I am quite sure from your responce John that you only meant it as a joke, so I haven't taken any personal offence. My sadness Is for the millions of Jews who were mercilessly treated and killed by the Nazis , who left a legacy that decent Germans will struggle with for a long time to come .
