Bush and co. renamed French Fries as Freedom Fries when France refused to support their invasion of Iraq. I seem to recall them labeling the French as "Cheese eating surrender monkeys" at around the same time.

Yee haw,

DB7 has guessed right but now he needs to determine which of his choices to go with.

Flemish Farm where they had Chips With Everything. Next of Kin, who I think was Aunt Clara, who ran a chip shop!

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

Must be Next of Kin? Haven't seen Flemish Farm but I'd expect it to be lower-budget. (and Chips Rafferty did appear in a few Ealing films)

Wrong choice! The Flemish Farm it is. Starring Clifford Evans so The Foreman Went to France was on-topic.
What is Belgium famous for? Frites! And beer.

And Hergé (Tintin), and Eddy Merckx (cyclist), and Jacky Ickx (Formula 1), and Hercule Poirot, and van Eyck, and Rene Magritte, and Adolph Sax, and Audrey Hepburn, and many other people and things.
