Clues anyone?? The setting is a clue....spiral staircase, stark architecture, no carpet....where could that be?? The young man became a respected actor in Hollywood....as did the shadow's brother.....

By George, I think he has it.....the lead actor, yes, respected rather than a star, but was still getting good parts 40 years after this film....
So who was the shadow's brother then....probably more familiar, especially if you like classic westerns...

And the director is indeed well known about these parts, but sorely underrated IMHO...
