Well, it's the wonderful Mary Clare, but that doesn't narrow it down much...she was in more films than Kathleen Harrison...

I did recently see a Mary Clare advertising film for Horlicks, but that was in colour....and post war. If this is'40 - that LDV armband says it is '40 - Mrs Pym of Scotland Yard??

There's only four people in the film and the other lady is very, very famous indeed. Her best-known role was for David Lean.



Oh, and the film isn't actually on IMDB...

- to be fair, I did say it wasn't on IMDB though it's available on dvd . Excellent wartime short that's basically Went the Day Well? cut down to 10 minutes. Essential watching if you ever intend to catch a German parachutist in your back garden
