I bought the Boys from the Blackstuff for my other half a couple of years ago, as we both remembered how good it was at the time. But when we tried to watch it we couldn't, because with the benefit of hindsight we now knew that things weren't going to get better and it really wasn't going to be alright in the end, and with that neither of us could watch anymore because it was just too sad.
