This will not be the right answer because I haven't even done any research! They've all been in film series:

Warner Oland "Charlie Chan"
Lloyd Nolan "Michael Shayne"
Basil Rathbone "Sherlock Holmes"

and

Johnny Weismuller "Tarzan" and the OOO because he's the only one who doesn't play a detective!

All the actors are correct except one, and the OOO is wrong.

It has to be "Charlie Chan", probably Sidney Toler? Weismuller could have been the OOO, what I said was true, or would you rather come outside and talk about it?!

It's definitely Johnny Weismuller ... the best Tarzan, although Gordon Scott was pretty good too.

All bar Nolan stayed with the same studio (TCF) during the run of the series -

Rathbone, Weismuller, Toler all had to 'downgrade' mid-series to stay in work
