This one seems to be sticking a bit so one last clue then if that fails with permission I will reveal the answer if everyone agrees

Are we looking for an actor who has played one role that all these others have played individually ... except the OOO?

All have played fictional Doctors and Kenneth Mars has played the voice of a real Doctor, ie. Dr Henry Kissinger? that would make Mars the OOO?

Price played Dr Phibes, Stuart Wilson was a Dr in Prime Suspect

Dr Mortimer is involved but only as part of the puzzle and there is a Holmes connection.....mmm, .....don't mind me, Im thinking out loud! I can't see any connection with Kenneth Mars though. And we are looking for an actor who has played one particular part many times.

Nope. The actor has played a number of parts, which others have also played. We are not talking about just one role which all the actors share, each have played a part that the unkown actor has.

Christopher Lee = Count de Rochefort
Stuart Wilson = Julius Beaufort

Can't link Vincent Price and Kenneth Mars yet

Vincent was in House of Wax and Lionel was in Mystery of the Wax Museum if that is the link
oh and Colin Jeavons = Professor Moriarty
