This one seems to have died a death so I will give the answer. All four appeared in films with the word 'rules' in the title ...

Howell: Breaking the Rules
Foxx: Breakin' All the Rules
Dunaway: Rules of Attraction

... Renoir is OOO 'cos he not only appeared in Regle Du Jeu/Rules of the Game but he was also the director. I would also have accepted that the word 'rules' only appeared in the English translation of the title.

As no one got it, have another one ......

If this is the right answer, I only got it because AP pointed me in the right direction:

Patrick Wymark had a 'duplicate' of himself in Doppelganger.
Sir Rog had a duplicate of himself in The Man Who Haunted Himself.

Patrick Swayze is the OOO - because he was just a ghost in...er....Ghost.

Good call about 'duplicates' et al .... but not what I am looking for. It involves something they all did in films.

Roger Moore - The Man who haunted himself, Patrick Swayze - Ghost both were supernatural entities. Patrick Wymark played The Witchfinder General, who sought out the supernatural. PW is the OOO?

Nothing to do with the supernatural or duplicates.

Well I think both Roger and Patrick Swayze started in films as chorus line dancers. Im sure Roger was in a hollywood film wearing top hat and tails with other male dancers swooning over some american female star (Marlyin Munroe?) So...is there a dance or musical connection?

Nope. The connection involves stunt work.
