Christine -
Have you tried this site ; Welcome to DVD Drive-In! The Latest Cult Movie DVD Reviews! for horror & cult dvds in the US ? Admittedly it does cover (s)exploitation titles too, but it's ok for upfront news and reviews... Smudge

Thanks, Smudge. Good link. I'm always looking for websites with good and comprehensive 'future release' lists.
I don't always know what to make of some Review websites because they have sales in mind. I can't always tell the difference between their honestly pimping a film to sell versus giving an honest review. The best future-release site (BargainFlix) is no longer functioning because they didn't pimp DVDs for sale, got no income and poof, are now dead in the water, which is partly my fault because I could use their listing service but their linked-to vendors were almost always more expensive. VAULT is a double-feature DVD, one of about 6 we've got ordered not because we knew the films, but because the DVD manufacturer has produced good quality DVDs of that genre. All of this DEAD OF NIGHT chatter on here and our recent watching of the Japanese KWAIDAN has got me back into anthology-type pieces. |

I can't fully recall all of the segments in VoH, so I suspect because of that it is less effective than some of the other anthology films around at the time. I do recall liking Terry-Thomas and Glynis Johns in the 'Meticulous Man' segment - some rather dark humour there.
The Anna Massey 'Vampires' sequence verged towards parody a little. The Tom Baker 'Dying For His Art' sequence was the one I found most memorable. The Curt Jurgens segment I have always found a little tedious and I can't for the life (or should that be death in this case?) of me recall much at all about the Michael Craig sequence. So I gues my summary would be, "Good in parts..." (No, that's NOT a pun on the outcome of one of these sequences.) ![]() Smudge
