Having watched all seven episodes, I can confirm that the barge scene is not in the 1968 version. Perhaps I should double check the 1970 film next

I seem to remember a series in the 1980s/90s featuring Dennis Waterman, who lived on a barge. Might have been called "Stay Lucky".
