Default Scary Scene

The moment when young Pip (Anthony Wager) runs into the hulking form of Magwitch (Finlay Currie) in Great Expectations (1946)
David lean did a superb job of creating just the right atmosphere in the lonely chuchyard on the marshes.
That scene has lost none of its impact, despite it's age.

There's some kind of movement, coming from within.

Alien.

And

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. (Not sure of the spelling of the last line of the film exactly)

But really it's Ridley Scott's gloved hands.

They are all very easily available: try Play.com for series boxsets!

The last scene in Vernon Sewell's House of Mystery, when the lady that is telling the story disappears.

For me the part that sends shivers down my spine in The Omen is Damien screaming in the car as he approaches the church. Also in the third one after the fox hunt when the (I`m never sure if it is a girl or a boy ) gets his/her face smeared with fox blood, creepy!

That really was a creepy image from 'The Eye'. I remember the child with the old face under the sheet shot in 'The Others' spooked me along with the photographs of the dead. Also, when the venquilatrists dummy starts walking in 'Dead of Night'.
Does anyone remember the poltergeist episode of the Waltons?! When the rag doll gets up and starts walking...?? Eeek!!
Those Hammer House of Horror episodes from the early 80's used to really freak me out too.

Spine chilling emmm..

The scene in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Robert Helpmann as the Child Catcher thats a childhood spine chiller for me - a adult one would be the end of Seconds with Rock Hudson absolutely petrifying.
