Definitely one for me and my horror junkie daughter ,one afternoon sometime. We keep trying to finish watching Stephen king's "Kingdom hospital " which we started watching on BBC2 and never completed ,I wonder is it worth the effort ? or is it another american horror that hooks you with a suspenseful plot and then leaves you floundering

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up

I've never watched 'Kingdom Hospital'.

One movie that will never leave you floundering is, 'Frankenfish' lol. (Not as terrible as the title suggests, and not as bad as it should have been).

I took my daughter to see it when it when it was released. The only thing I remember about it was a clockwork bird (I think) and the fact that she fell asleep!

Bats.

Don't miss out on a chance to win a rare film in Bat-Quiz 13 closing date - 31/8/8.

Years ago i went to the cinema to whatch "The guns of navarone", it wasn't a scary moment but it was when they were climbing the cliff and without warning the bird flew out of a crack screeching.
It made everyone jump in the cinema including me!

I thought that was because you were not sure it was a bird or not.

Anyway, dear fella, I wasn't trying to suggest 'Return to Oz' didn't have a Clockwork bird... I wouldn't remember if it had or not... but I remember the Clockwork Owl in 'Clash of the Titans' and its the only clockwork bird I remember, not counting Cuckoo clocks.

So... no problem, eh?

If it was 'Clash of the Titans', shouldn't you be thanking me for the memory prompt?

.... it's imaginatively called Tik Tok. I still haven't worked out if it is supposed to be the Tin Man or not!

No problem!

Yeps, 'Tik Tok' and, if I remember correctly, he was apt to spin like a dervish.

I remember from 'Blue Peter' (I think - lol It was many years ago) that 'Tik Tok' was not meant to be the Tin Man but an entirely different character

Looks like a very distant cousin of those two silly-looking robots in 'The Black Hole'.

Thanks Wearysloth, I forgot about the arteriography scene in the Exorcist.
I couldn't watch it second time around ,it made me feel sicker than a sick thing.
Although my first trade was as a butcher , I was able to kill things , disembowel them and dress them , I feel queasy at the first sight of a needle

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up

There's a Danish silent film called Klovnen, where a white-faced clown goes for revenge over the man who seduced his wife, slowly stalking the man who is in the audience of the circus, with a pistol and in full make up.....what is it about clowns...!!??

Bit of a Bay Window, what??
