Example of a chilling line is from 23 Paces to Baker Street. The blind Van Johnson is lured to a bombed out building and taken to a floor high up from the pavement by a man named Joe. The front has been blown away and there are holes in the floor. Joe leaves him in the belief that he will fall to his death.

Joe then returns to his boss and tells him VJ will trouble them no longer
"It's all done".
His boss is pleased and offers him a cup of tea. Joe declines
"I find if I drink tea at night it keeps me awake."

Yeah baby, that is one of my favorite movies and I have watched it many many times, and it still creeps me out everytime.

Pulp Fiction, when John Travolta shoves the syringe into Uma's heart. I almost faint.

…time is short. So you gotta ask yourself: Are you a fighter, Fish Queen, or are you zombie food?

It is the great Max .... I just fancied a change but couldn't make up my mind. I had a special request to put up a picture with dimples so I reckon this one will stay for a while.

For more Max ... check out both the Actors and the Features sections.

In Wuthering Heights (1992, and the 1978 BBC version), when Heathcliff is taking charge of young Hareton Earnshaw after his father's death: "And we'll see if one tree won't grow as crooked as another, with the same wind to twist it!" Chillingly evil.
(It completely baffles me that some people regard Heathcliff as a romantic figure.)

"Trust me, I'm a doctor...!"

The scene in Jaws, where Quint relates the story of the USS Indianopolis. The eerie music,Richard Dreyfus' face agog (which was genuine,as it wasn't expected) as Shaw/Quint described the carnage when his fellow crewmen were massacred by the sharks. Then finally, the sound of the whale....

Anyone remember Burnt Offerings with Bette Davis, Karen Black and Oliver Reed? This film scared the crap out of me as a kid. The chauffer with the white face gave me nightmares and the bit where Karen Black I think (?) falls or jumps from the window onto the car. Often wondered if the house used in the film is the same one used in Auf Weidersehen Pet when the lads are doing it up for Ally Fraser just before they go to Spain. Does anyone know?
