I got The Alien Anthology Blu-Ray Special Edition, the Frasier DVD set, Spooks series 8 and, straight from a worker at Pinewood, a 1/6th scale Alien egg which was used in the forced perspective shots in the Queen's lair inAliens.

I also got socks so my maleness is confirmed!

Thanks, Sarge! My avatar is Angel Blake (Blood on Satan's Claw), portrayed by the enviably talented and impossibly beautiful Linda Hayden.

Best wishes to Corinne and her husband. Glad he's back home.

Another awful year ended on a high note with England retaining The Ashes and two bumper parcels from Amazon. Sixteen items for £100 (& 12p).

    Television:
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (£4.99); Jane Eyre (1973 adaptation, for £6.99); Murder Most English (£7.93); A Kind of Loving (1982 adaptation, £12.99); Strange Report (£17.99), plus Carry On Christmas Specials for £3.99.

    Films:
Devil-Doll (1964 remake, £1.99); Inspector Clouseau (Alan Arkin, £1.99); The Magic Christian (£2.49); Oh! What a Lovely War (£2.99); Avanti! (£3.19); If ... (£3.49); Scrooge (Albert Finney, £3.75); Ship of Fools (£3.97); Great Expectations (£3.99), plus Harold Lloyd: The Definitive Collection for £17.39.

    In My Dreams:
Armchair Theatre: The Monochrome Years; Take Three Girls: The Complete Series; Period Drama Series Megaset (12 Discs): Heidi + Heidi Grows Up (1953-4), Our Mutual Friend (1958), The Woman in White (1966), Nicholas Nickleby (1968), Anne of Green Gables (1972), The Pearcross Girls (1973). And an ITV Playhouse production on every DVD as a Special Feature, like they did with Cottage to Let (fantastic bonus).

    Maybe next year ...

My Christmas present (a Barnes and Noble gift card from my boss at work) went to pay for "Knock on Wood" with Danny Kaye, Mai Zetterling, and of course Torin. Yeah I was very surprised to see it as I had no idea it was legally released. B&N has a much better DVD selection than Borders, not to mention older films that are new releases on DVD. Can't wait to watch it!!!

Just one ticket? They didn't include a ticket for the return trip? Was someone trying to get rid of you?

This was the return ticket. My parents sent me to Spain for a two week course in 1978, and my letters pleading for the ticket back were finally opened by someone involved in the will-reading.

    Hi, Corinne,

I'm late in viewing this thread. Getting your husband home must have made for a wonderful Christmas.
