    "The 23rd James Bond movie has finally been given the go-ahead.

    The latest instalment of the franchise, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as 007, will begin shooting later this year.

    The future of the franchise was put at risk due to MGM's recent financial difficulties.

    But the new owners of MGM - EON Productions - along with producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, have now confirmed Bond will be back in cinemas in November 2012.

    The latest Bond adventure will be directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road).

    It will be Craig's third outing as Bond."
