Frank Sinatra's album Strangers in the Night can only be seen for about a second in A Dandy in Aspic (1968). The LP is about to be picked up by then wife Mia Farrow, an 'in-joke' that seems ironic now given the fact that on the set of her next film, Rosemary's Baby, he requested a divorce!:

There's another Record underneath (looks like 'La Figaro...'). A better view of Strangers in the Night:

Strangers in the Night (Frank Sinatra album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coincidentally, Mia Farrow was featured in the opening post of http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/ge...nes-films.html as well!

Dedicated to Barbara and Hughjampton, who've had to wait a long time for this thread to get going.

Dylan's 1970 album, New Morning, Jim. Recorded in 9 days while he had a cold

The one above it is Dylan's eponymous titled first album. At the top of the section that The Eagles album is Dylan's Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

Doesn't Bowie's Low feature somewhere in the racks?

What a great new thread from Cornershop, and a terrific vinyl by Sinatra to kick it off! And amazing finds from Hugh and Jim.

I used to have so many of these records. Just seeing their jackets brings back a flood of wonderful memories. I still have these in my collection:

I can't wait to see the next ones you discover.

    Hi, Jim,

When I had to cull a lot of my collection (seemed like 1000's of them!), I couldn't bear to part with my Eagles records. I still have every one they put out.

    Do you remember these?

I've not seen Quadrophenia, so what year is it supposed to be set in? The Decca single sleeve and the LP put it in '66, I imagined it to be earlier by a year, or two?

What's the jacket with the singer on it right above Little Eva? He looks so familiar.

Cheers, lads, that's what I would have thought, so those sleeves are anochronisms.
