The scene of much action down at Nettlefold Studios in the fifties:
The generic inn for THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD.
A screencap of the Pub Sign (a fictional one) for the Admiral Benbow Inn, that appeared in the film Treasure Island (1950) which starred Robert Newton as Long John Silver and Bobby Driscoll as Jim Hawkins.
Treasure Island (1950) is one of my favourite Disney films.

Here are some screencaps of the Pub Sign (a fictional one) for The Alpha Inn Pub, that appeared in the Sherlock Holmes story The Blue Carbuncle, the first screencap is from the episode of The Blue Carbuncle (1984) that was part of The Sherlock Holmes Granada Series which starred Jeremy Brett as Holmes, the second screencap is from the episode of The Blue Carbuncle (1968) that was part of the 1968 BBC Sherlock Holmes TV series which starred Peter Cushing as Holmes and Nigel Stock as Watson.

A couple of examples from John Loder, er, "starring vehicles"; these are both American productions, but are set in wartime England:
This is the scene of much anxious action in The Mysterious Doctor (1943), a Warner Bros. "B" set in Cornwall, with tin mining an important part of the scenario. So important in fact that the miners at the end march off to work singing
"Men of Harlech" . . .
Then in The Brighton Strangler (1945), another "B", this time from RKO, we get a subtle reminder
that the action has shifted back from Brighton to London.
Both films in fact are a lot of fun and are almost clones of contemporary examples produced by Universal.
Or are they the cicadas that are so often heard in East Sussex?
Did you know that not all frogs make a "ribbit" sound? They make all sorts of noises. But the Pacific tree frogs that are indigenous to Hollywood do make a "ribbit" sound (they are the only ones that do) so they are the ones shown (or heard) in most films - wherever that film is set

I think the uncredited actress is Norma Varden (omitted for some reason from Michael Hoey's recent book on the character actors in the Rathbone-Bruce Holmes films), a prolific actress who, strange accent notwithstanding, was originally English, born in London it appears.
A screencap of the Pub (also featuring the Pub Sign) in the four part Doctor Who story The Android Invasion (1975).
The real location of the Pub that featured in the four part Doctor Who story The Android Invasion is The Fleur De Lys Pub, East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire - The Android Invasion - Story Locations - The Locations Guide to Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures The Fleur de Lys Pub East Hagbourne
Unusually, the Fleur de Lys retained its real name when it was featured in "The Android Invasion", although not its interior, as that was a set in TC3 at BBC Television Centre. The real interior of the pub can be seen in the DVD documentary on the making of the story.
A frequent uncredited extra, Lewis Alexander, can be spotted in a couple of exterior sequences outside the pub, but poor old Lewis doesn't make it inside.
This pub did change its name, but apparently did keep its interior:
From "Killer", an episode of THE AVENGERS, where barman Oliver MacGreevy sports an eyepatch and villains Grant Taylor and William Franklyn regularly indulge the sport of the despatch of agents. This is in fact the Crown Inn at Burnham Beeches and in the DVD commentary for the episode, Jennifer Croxton thought they did use the real inside of the pub for filming purposes. If not, it's certainly a cracker of a set.
Here are two screencaps of the Pub Sign (a fictional one) for the Dirty Dick's Tavern, that appeared in the film Carry On Jack (1963).
There is a Pub in London called Dirty Dick's - Dirty Dicks ? Pub Near Liverpool Street, Pub in EC3, Comedy Nights in the City, Private Hire in the City, Live Music in Central London. Dirty Dick - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dirty Dick's Tavern in Carry On Jack (1963) was supposed to be in Plymouth.
A screencap of the Pub Sign (a fictional one) for The Fighting Cock Inn, that appeared in the Sherlock Holmes story The Priory School, the screencap below is from the episode of The Priory School (1986) that was part of The Sherlock Holmes Granada Series which starred Jeremy Brett as Holmes.

Screen cap from ‘The Quiet Woman (1950)’
I’ve heard of chastity belts but in my opinion THAT is going too far.
