I'm not as much into Woody Allen films as I once was, but he made a charming picture in the 80s called The Purple Rose of Cairo, which hopefully you have had an opportunity to see. (Fun story, but bittersweet, and Jeff Daniels is pretty easy on the eyes as well.)

Have you ever wanted to be in Cecilia's place and have a character step out of the screen to meet you, and if so, who?

It would have to be Mr Darcy out of Lost in Austen.
I've watched it a "few" times but I don't think my husband is as much a fan as I am.

This thread is about characters emerging from the screen .... not your favourite sexy actresses etc.
Those posts have gone to the Sexiest Actresses thread.

'You're just boys with toys' ..... as said by Natalya Simonova (Izabella Scorupco) in Goldeneye. Now if someone would like to post a picture of her on my behalf I wouldn't object .... Natalya was a computer whizz and she could show me how to post pictures on this rickety old work computer.

Even though he's a murderous so and so, I think Jack Carter from Get Carter (1971).

I'd like to shout out a warning 'look out for the sniper'! Then take him for a pint, in the proper glass of course..

Maybe Patrick Standish (the Reed version) - easy to have a drink with.

Definitely Mr Darcy, but for me it's the Colin Firth version!
