A bit sensitive isn't he? Steven Spielberg that is.
It appears that the US actress Megan Fox was sacked from the forthcoming film Transformers 3 for remarking in an interview that Michael Bay, the director of the 'Transformers' films, “wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.”
Steven Spielberg, the producer of the series, objected to her remark and told Bay to sack her. Bay told Spielberg that he hadn't found the comment offensive but Spielberg was adamant she had to go .... exit Ms Fox.

I suppose moral of story is don't make Hitler jokes when your boss is Jewish.
An American actress who knows how to play on the boy's turf, is known for being above board about everything, and for her generalisation on female relationships.
The Self-Manufacture of Megan Fox - NYTimes.com
The days when an "actor" can openly slag off aspects of an ongoing project or create negative publicity about an ongoing project they are involved in are long gone, Miss Fox has learnt a tough lesson but she ought to have known better, there is just too much $ at stake to allow someone like Fox to create such negative publicity. Liam Neeson made a similar mistake after his Star Wars appearance, he made some negative comments about working on the film and had to dive for cover afterwards, he had to eat humble pie on every chat show he appeared on for the next 12 months and apologise profusely for his comments, he'd upset quite a few people and regardless of whether his comments were accurate or not the point is if you appear in a $100 million dollar film then do not under any circumstances do or say anything that might detract from the positive marketing aspects of the project, its just not done, and I would say that is what the Megan Fox thing is about rather than Speilberg being simply offended by a stupid Hitler comment....this is just about marketing and the $ and the spectre of negative publicity.....and possibly the fact that her ego is out of control and she is being an unprofessional ass....it all adds up to the same thing I suppose.
I agree. And in interest of one's own wallet: how many who want to keep their job would say that in the press about their boss or owner of the company?
Fox's own words: "I can be aggressive, hurtful, domineering and selfish, too. I'm emotionally unpredictable and all over the place." (17.09.09, NY Daily News).

What does “next to my pie” mean? Its translation must be going wrong in my head, because it does not make sense to me.She has detailed her fling with a stripper named Nikita; compared Michael Bay, the director of “Transformers,” to Hitler; and revealed that she has her boyfriend’s name tattooed “next to my pie.”
I wonder if this was just a smoke screen to ditch a less-than-effective actress without getting into law suit.
Having a plank of wood in a film probably wouldn't bother Michael 'Pearl Harbour' Bay - I doubt he could spot the difference judging by his body of work - but it may have been an issue for Speilberg (and his bankers).
I can't undersatnd why Spielberg would be insulted by comments that criticise Hitler. Regardless of her talent or lack of it, she didn't make anti-semitic comments, she mentioned Hitler as a hyperbolic reference to comment that the director is power-mad and domineering on set. Is Spielberg thinking here?
I do not recall where I read it, but it was pointed out that Bay is more like Bin Laden because he likes blowing things up.
I am quite amazed really......is this the sort of thing more mature ladies talk about....
Next time I visit the WI fete down at the village hall I'll hold that thought in the back of my mind....
Nose piercings (studs) I actually don't mind........but anywhere else....
Cheers
