The latest version of Wuthering Heights has the sequences where Heathcliff and Hareton hang the puppies And the doggies really don't look happy about it

Dogs shake with excitement - often when they are being teased with a tid-bit and are told to 'stay!'. There was probably a juicy steak being waved about near to him while he played his part to perfection, which he was then rewarded with.

    Thankfully, YES.

Shame most kids are cooped up in front of screens these days; you can't beat a bit of fresh air and a game of cattle persons and native Americans when you're about seven.

P.S. You're not one of those people who call eskimoes "inuit" are you?

You are careful about sensitive terminology?

Actually, Red INJUN is the proper spelling.

I hope that is correct. The idea of dogs being forced to look terrified for the sake of a film, when they don't understand and can't do anything to stop it, is upsetting and wrong.

    Anyone for turtle soup?
i have this on cut and uncut and do, honestly, prefer the uncut version, as it shows the reality of life for indigenous peoples in the Amazon.......that said, Ruggero Deodato has leaned toward the uncut version when prompted (in interviews) for his opinions on the matter - how much of this is political pressure is another matter..........but the turtle and muskrat scene are part of the movie and should stay there in my opinion.

what about the scenes portrayed in Faces of Death.....poor monkey and hen - they get a bad part dont they (i think the monkey scene is fake, but nasty nonetheless).....oh and the cow scenes in the abattoir are pretty gruesome too

On the lighter side has anyone heard the Bill Cosby monologue supposedly spoken by "Silver" the Lone Rangers horse where he complains about being jumped on by the hero, spurs being dug in his side and lastly when the baddies run out of bullets they throw their empty guns at the Lone Ranger "Do they hit him, no, but they land right on "old Silver". Brilliant.
