    They made films about the big issues like life, love and death. Matters of faith are up there with those issues. Another film they made which has a very spiritual feel to it is Gone to Earth, although that's more involved with witchcraft as much as with modern religions

    I've not seen it for decades, so I'm probably misremembering, but didn't Willie Rushton occasionally pop up as a Roman god in "Up Pompeii"?
