There are so many to choose from, but here are a few of my favourites:
Rififi, Le Trou, Un Homme et Une Femme, Army of Shadows, Un Flic, La Bonne Annee, Toute Une Vie and a recent favourite Hors de Prix (Priceless).
France has been at the forefront of horror recently - Switchblade Romance, Them, Inside, Frontier(s) & of course the controversial Martyrs. Although I think Spain is edging forward with the likes of The Orphanage, [Rec] & Julia's Eye.

Ghana does it best
"13 Tzameti" is the best foreign film I've seen in recent years.
I saw Maïwenn Le Besco's Polisse at the cinema, setting in a "brigade des mineurs" (juvenil unit) Police Station, it's very catchy, all the actors are very good including french rap star Joey StarrRecommended
