Anybody want to buy lots of old 35 mm film projectors (going cheap at knockdown prices...) ?
(warning - soon you will have no 35mm reels to show....)

End of the flicks? Odeon completes digital switchover

A sad day.As someone who feels that the projection box is a magic place to see film projectors consigned to the scrapheap is a time to mourn. No longer can we see the changeover dots,no lnger where cinemas have changeovers can we hope that the projectionist a few seconds out so we can see the leader by mistake and no longer when you get near the end of a reel will you start seeing the picture and sound keep on jumping as a result of all the splices nor will you see the tramlines running down the screen caused by scratching on rewinds.the romance of the cinema is dead alas.
